Server Backups
Create, restore, and download backups from the control panel.
Overview
The game panel includes a backup system so you can snapshot your server before updates, mod changes, or cancellations. Backups are stored separately from your live server files.
Creating a backup
- Open your server in the game panel.
- Go to the Backups tab.
- Click Create backup and optionally name it.
- Wait for the backup job to finish. Large servers take longer.
Your plan may limit how many backups you can store at once. Delete old backups if you reach the limit.
Restoring a backup
To restore, select a backup from the list and choose Restore. Restoring replaces current server files with the backup contents.
Restoring overwrites your live server data. Stop the server first and make sure you selected the correct backup.
Downloading a backup
You can download a backup archive to your computer for safekeeping. Use the download action next to the backup in the Backups tab.
Downloaded backups are useful before major changes or when migrating away from Limbo Nodes.
Cancellation backups
When you cancel a service through Limbo Billing, a final backup may be saved automatically. That backup is downloaded from Limbo Billing, not the game panel. See Cancellation & Backups.
