Scope and Age Requirement
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect through our website, Limbo Billing, the game server control panel, support channels, and service delivery systems.
Our services are intended for individuals who are at least 16 years old and located in the United States. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 for account registration or service delivery.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Account information: name, email address, username, password hash, account preferences, and support ticket content
- Billing information: billing address, order history, invoices, payment status, and limited payment method details processed by our payment providers (we do not store full card numbers on our servers)
- Service and technical data: server identifiers, subdomain assignments, resource usage, provisioning logs, panel activity necessary to operate your service, and configuration metadata
- Network and security data: IP addresses, browser type, device information, timestamps, and security logs used to protect accounts and infrastructure
- Communications: messages you send to support, abuse reports, and related correspondence
We may also receive information from payment processors, fraud-prevention tools, and infrastructure providers as needed to complete transactions and operate services.
How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Create and manage your account and hosted services
- Process orders, invoices, payments, and renewals
- Assign and manage subdomains and related DNS records on our backend infrastructure
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
- Monitor, maintain, and secure our platform and network
- Detect, prevent, and investigate abuse, fraud, and Terms of Service violations
- Send service-related notices such as billing reminders, security alerts, and policy updates
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Legal Bases for Processing
Where privacy laws require a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following: performance of a contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving hosting services; compliance with legal obligations; and your consent where required (for example, for optional marketing communications if offered).
Where Data Is Stored
Customer account, billing, and service data are stored in MariaDB/MySQL databases hosted on netcup VPS infrastructure located in the European Union.
Although our services are offered to US customers only, storing data in an EU datacenter may involve cross-border processing. We take reasonable steps to protect data regardless of storage location and use providers that maintain appropriate security measures.
Content and backups associated with your hosted servers may reside on infrastructure in locations selected for service delivery and may differ from the billing database location.
Subprocessors and Service Providers
We use trusted third parties to help operate our business. These providers process personal information on our behalf only as needed to perform their services. Categories include:
- Cloudflare: infrastructure services such as content delivery, DNS resolution for our domains, DDoS mitigation, and web security. Cloudflare is used on our backend; customers do not receive Cloudflare account access as part of Limbo Nodes services.
- Payment processors: such as Stripe and/or PayPal, depending on which payment methods are enabled at checkout
- Email delivery providers: for transactional email such as invoices, password resets, and service notices
- Infrastructure providers: including netcup and other hosting upstreams used to deliver services
These providers may have their own privacy policies governing their handling of information. We require or expect appropriate contractual and security safeguards where applicable.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide services, maintain business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations.
Typical retention periods include: active account data for the life of the account; billing and invoice records for up to seven (7) years where required for tax and accounting purposes; security and access logs for a limited period based on operational need; and support tickets for a reasonable period after closure.
When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it where practicable.
Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encrypted transport (HTTPS), and monitoring for abuse.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining strong credentials and securing access to your account and hosted services.
If we become aware of a security incident that compromises your personal information, we will notify you and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Limbo Nodes services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in violation of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Our account registration age requirement is 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have collected personal information from a child under 13, contact shadow@limbo-nodes.com and we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws, including Virginia under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA) where applicable, may have additional rights regarding access, correction, deletion, and appeal of denied requests.

International Users
Limbo Nodes services are offered to US residents only. If you access our site from outside the United States, you do so at your own initiative and understand that your information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our providers operate, including the European Union.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through Limbo Billing or by email.
