Network & Subdomain

Eligible Minecraft servers include a free subdomain (for example, your-server.limbo-nodes.com) with automatic DNS records. Limbo Nodes creates and manages those records on our infrastructure. You claim and manage your subdomain from the game panel Network tab or from Limbo Billing on your service page.

1. Open your server in the game panel and go to Network.
2. In the Minecraft Subdomain section, enter a subdomain name.
3. Use lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only. Minimum length is 5 characters.
4. Save. Limbo Nodes creates the required DNS A and SRV records automatically.

You can also set or change your subdomain from Limbo Billing → Services → Server identity on eligible plans. Changes in either location sync to your server.

After DNS is active, the Network tab shows a Minecraft Join String and Connect Address. Copy either value into the Minecraft multiplayer server list.

The SRV record routes players to the correct hostname and port automatically. In most cases, you do not need to enter a port number manually.

The panel shows a DNS status badge so you can see when your subdomain is ready:

• DNS active: records are configured and resolving correctly.
• DNS propagating: changes are still spreading. Wait a few minutes and refresh the page.
• DNS misconfigured: something needs attention on our side. Contact support if this status persists.

If your subdomain does not connect or the panel shows a DNS warning:

• Wait a few minutes after assigning or changing a subdomain for DNS propagation.
• Refresh the Network tab to load the latest status and connect address.
• Use the connect address shown in the panel, not an older hostname you may have saved.
• Open a support ticket if the status stays on DNS misconfigured or players still cannot connect after propagation.

Subdomain DNS is managed by Limbo Nodes on our backend. You do not need a separate DNS account, and there is no customer-facing DNS dashboard to configure.

To change your subdomain, enter a new name in the Network tab or Limbo Billing and save. To remove it entirely, use the remove action in either location.

Reserved or taken names cannot be used. The panel validates availability before saving.
